Scriptwriter and Video director

Since 2004, in parallel to his work in theatre, Manoel Candeias has been writing scripts and directing educational and corporate videos. He worked for companies such as Volkswagen, Unilever, Tetra Pak, Goodyear, Faber-Castell, Mantecorp, BR Foods, Itaú, Banco do Brasil, Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Universidade Caixa/Caixa Econômica Federal, Abbott, Smart Fit, Bio Ritmo, among others.

Some special projects:

Bioritmo and Smartfit (2019-2021)

Responsible for writing and directing videos for different courses of the large Brazilian chain of gyms Bio Ritmo Group (Smart Fit, Bio Ritmo, Vidya…), aimed at training teachers, using different formats, varying between journalistic, dramaturgical and documentary languages.

Welcome Kit Volkswagen (2009-2011)

Responsible for writing the project’s scripts, which used comedic dramaturgy to highlight important topics from the Volkswagen car owner’s manual. During this period and for a few years afterwards, anyone who purchased any vehicle from the brand received a kit with a DVD, containing the audiovisual production relating to their car. The project won the ABEMD and ABRAREC awards in the relationship actions category and achieved 98% approval among buyers of Volkswagen do Brasil cars.

Mais momentos, menos enxaqueca (2021)

Candeias created and wrote the scripts for the web series Enxaqueca não é Frescura, for digital content published by TEVA, aimed at raising awareness about migraine problems. The series increased interaction on the campaign’s Instagram account by 4,700%.

Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2014-2015)

Scriptwriter responsible for creating the language of the audiovisual material for Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s main distance education courses, in dialogue with the director, establishing a way of creating and producing material for SOL, the institution’s educational solutions department.
